Lamont will unbar its doors to women, but only at specified times, Head Librarian Philip J. McNiff announced yesterday. Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. will be designated visiting hours for female guests of University students and faculty members.

Study facilities remain closed to women.
The decision followed a Student Council recommendation made earlier this month.
