University officials announced the conferring of 829 midyear degrees last night in the final February graduation after seven years of accelerated schedules due to the war.
In the College 448 degrees were awarded, of which 397 were for the A.B. degree and 51 for the S.B. degree. Ninety men received their degrees cum laude; 44, magna cum laude; two, magna cum laude, with highest honors; and five, summa cum laude.
The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences awarded 267 degrees, as follows: 149 Masters of Arts; 13 Masters of Arts in Teaching; three Masters in Forestry; 12 Masters of Science; two Masters of Engineering Science; and 88 Doctors o Philosophy.
Many Graduate School Degrees
In the Graduate Schools of Engineering, 17 Master of Science, two Doctor of Science, and two Master of Engineering degrees were granted.
The Graduate school of Education presented 36 Masters of Education and three Doctors of Education.
The Graduate School of Design awarded 33 degrees, as follows: 20 Bachelors of Architecture; three Masters in Architecture; two Bachelors of City Planning; four Masters in City Planning; and four Bachelors of Landscape Architecture.
Six Masters in Business Administration was grated by the Graduate School of Business Administration; nine Masters in Public Administration by the Graduate School of Public Administration; one Doctor of Public Health by the Graduate School of Public Health; and three Bachelors of Theology and one Master of Theology by the Divinity School.
