Completion of the Lamont Library endowment fund was announced at a dinner of the Harvard Fund Council last night in Lamont's Forum Room.

At the meeting the group of almost 100 also heard President Conant and Provest Buck report on the University's financial status.

Dwight P. Robinson, Jr. '20, chairman of the Fund Council, gave a report on recent alumni fund contributions and also presented plans for future fund raising campaigns. The Council consists of agents from alumni classes who work to raise endowment donations.

The dinner was the first ever held in Lamont.
