Herbert Phillips, one of the three professors fired from the University of Washington in the furor this month over communism and academic freedom, is tentatively scheduled to address the Harvard Philosophy Club early in May. He will discuss Moore's "Universals."

Phillips was dismissed from the University of Washington faculty after several months of hearings. The three teachers have an appeal pending before the American Association of College Professors. Phillips will not discuss his case at the May meeting.

In asking Phillips to speak, "the Philosophy Club is in no way endorsing his views," Robert E. Dewey 3G, president of the club, said last night. "We firmly believe, however, in the principle of academic freedom," he added.
