Cambridge police today start a search for some 8 to 12 Square rioters--many of them undergraduates--whose midnight fracas last night resulted in the arrest of one 23-year old College Junior.
The fight reportedly broke out in Jim Cronin's Restaurant sometime after midnight, and the episode came to a close around 12:30 a.m. on Mt. Auburn Street, when Officers T. Eagan and J. McCarthy heaved the apprehended student into a patrol wagon. He was booked at Central Square Station on charges of drunkenness and disturbing the peace.
Police were unwilling this morning to give further details on the case, but they stated that they hope to track down one of the men by means of a laundry mark on a deserted suit coat.
