'52 Riflemen Will Fire Postal Match Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Bullets start flying at 2 p. m. today on the rifle range deep down in the Blockhouse. The freshman rifle team fires a postal match against the University of Maryland.

For three hours the '52 marksmen will shoot at their paper targets. Then they will score them and send them immediately to Maryland for rescoring. An identical procedure will be taking place in Baltimore.

Thus far this season, the freshmen riflemen have beaten Indiana Tech and Michigan State, and have lost to MIT and Navy. They still face competition with Wisconsin, Army, the Merchant Marine Academy, and Oregon State.

John Shea, E. A. Higgins, and W. E. Lindamood are currently first, second, and third highest scorers respectively.
