Light rain, lasting the entire morning, washed out the scheduled Lowell-Kirkland and Winthrop-Eliot House football games yesterday afternoon.

The shower probably saved the Puritans from their second defeat of the season. The league-leading Elephants, with a polished T-formation and hard-running backs, have so far swept over all four House opponents they have faced to date. In Pete Reiner, Eliot has one of the best backs in House football.

Lowell and Kirkland each had won one and lost three this year.

The games will definitely be played at a later date.
