Marine Training Unit Reports 12 Openings

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

With impending draft legislation prominent in the College spotlight, the University Marine Corps unit announced yesterday that it can accept 12 more men in its College officer-procurement program.

The plan requires one or two summer training periods of six weeks each at the Quantico Marine base, the time spent depending on whether or not a candidate has had previous military service. Students in the program need not take military or naval science courses during the academic year.

To be eligible for enrollment in the program, applicants must have either freshman, sophomore, or junior standing.
