The Freshman baseball team won its second game of the season yesterday at Soldiers Field, but it had to rally in the eighth inning and score the winning run in the ninth before a stubborn North-eastern nine would succumb, 6 to 5.
The visitors held a 5 to 1 lead midway in the seventh but the Crimson scored three times in its half of the inning and then went on to tally the tying run in the eighth and the winning run in the ninth.
Hal Marshall, Jim Gabler, and Pat Wegner paced the Yardling attack with two hits apiece.
