Yachtsmen Swamp Eli, 86-76 in First Contest

Crimson yachtsmen became the second varsity squad to conquer the Eli this year when they sailed to a 86 to 76 Charles River victory on Sunday. Pete "Commodore" Putnam took three firsts out of six races as Class A entry, racking up a 36 point high for the Crimson.

In yesterday's six-way Oberg Trophy competition, the sailors finished second behind Tech, which has cornered the trophy consistently the last six times it has been offered.
