With "Save the Peace" their rallying cry, men, women, and baby-carriages from the Harvard community will converge upon Memorial Hall triangle at noon today for a protest meeting aimed against "war hysteria" and Universal Military Training. Fair weather is forecast.

The formal program will open with the Rev. Kenneth Hughes invocation, after which Harry F. Ward, former chairman of the Civil Liberties Union, will deliver the keynote address. A slate of student speakers will follow.

Preparation for today's rally cleared the final hurdle Wednesday when the "Save the Peace" committee won official permission to use the Memorial Hall space, ending a two-year ban on open-air rallies in the classroom area.

Buck Asks Council Decide

Seeking clarification of the factors which the College should weigh in ruling upon such a meeting, Dean Buck yesterday called upon the Student Council to draft a set of standards covering the subject.

Meanwhile, the Peace Committee announced further plans for the rally. Three oversized telegrams calling upon Congress to block UMT, the draft, and all "measures which add to the war tension" will be circulated, with signers contributing ten cents or more to support the proposed permanent Peace Committee.

No Parade, Says Watson

Dean Watson has definitely vetoed all proposals for a parade leading up to or away from the Mem Hall area. Disciplinary action may be invoked, he warned the executive board of the Peace Committee yesterday, if students disobey the order to disperse quietly after the meeting, which should end before one o'clock;
