When word came from New Prep that "lack of practice" would force cancellation of this afternoon's game, Moe 'Bergs' Freshman nine quickly rearranged its schedule, and instead decided to square off with the Jayvees in the playoff of last Saturday's postponed match.
Berg will start Pete Webber on the mound, although Webber will probably split the pitching chores with Jim Gabler. "I'd rather use George Emmons and have Bill Rosenaur behind the plate," Berg declared, "but both are out for football and are available only on weekends."
No simultaneous Varsity game will enable all Jayvee men to be on hand for the Freshman tilt, but both Jayvee coach Lloyd Harper and Berg still insist that their respective squads cannot win.
