Nephew Believes Benes in Retreat

Vaclav Eduard Benes '50, nephew of President Eduard Benes of Czechoslovakia, offered a cine yesterday as to the whereabouts of his uncle.

Since the Communist coup, night the Czechoslovakian Embassy in Washington nor the State Department has given any indication of what the President's situation might be.

The younger Benes disclosed that he believed his uncle is living in seclusion at a home in Sezimo-Ustt, a little-known hamlet in southern Czechoslovakia.

He added that according to recent letters, President Benes "hasn't been feeling too well." The President, Hence continued, has been in the habit of going to Sezimo-Dati to rest, because go few people know its location.

Asked his opinion of President Benes' future plane, Hence declared, "I don't think my uncle will leave Czechoslovakia."
