Radcliffe athletes lost a second round to Harvard yesterday as 'Cliffe bowlers rolled their final string and departed from the Dunster Street bowling alleys which the University has spotted for office space.
Last year, the 'Cliffe crew was left high and dry when University authorities declared Weld Boat Club was not big enough for both Harvard and Radcliffe crews.
This week's notice that the Bowladrome's lease will not be renewed left Annex keglers with no place to bowl except Cambridge Common and ended five years of bowling as an accredited gymnasium sport at the 'Cliffe.
Polly Kuhl '49, head of the 'Cliffe Varsity bowling team, expressed chagrin at the Annex eviction from the Harvard Square alleys last night. "When I heard the news," she sighed, "I was bowled over."
