Trustees of Anatolia College, Salonica, Greece, convened in Sanders Theatre Saturday and conferred an honorary degree of Doctor of Laws on Conductor Dimitri Metropoulos of the Minneapolis Symphony.
Metropoulos, according to the citation, has received this degree in gratitude for the greatness of his musical contributions, bringing honor to both the United States and Greece.
Ernest W. Rigger, president of the Greek College was present for the ceremony conducted by the Board of Trustoes, a Massachusetts organization authorized under an 1894 charter to give such degrees.
