Coach Rene Peroy's varsity and freshman fencers both came through with victories Saturday afternoon in the Blockhouse as the Varsity took West Point into camp with a 17 to 10 score while the Yardlings turned back Andover, 21 1/2 to 5 1/2, in the aftermath.
The Varsity found the saber competition its forte and scored a 7 to 2 triumph, while taking the epee event 6 to 3. Army out-foiled the Crimson, 5 to 4. It was the Varsity's second win of the season, as against one defeat.
The Freshmen found it easy going against the prep school squad, topping the visitors in all three events. The saber went to the Crimson, 5 to 4, the epee, 8 to 1, and the foils, 8 1/2 to 8 1/2.
