Coach Rene Peroy's fencers carved their way into a 15 1/2 to 11 1/2 victory over Brown last night in Providence. The swordsmen still trailing after the foils event, didn't clinch the meet until they sliced out seven thumping victories with sabers.

The summary:

Epee: Peckham (B) defeated Constable (H), 3-1, and Arp (H), 3-2. Prescott (B) defeated Arp (H), 3-1, and Ager (II), 3-1. Alger (H) defeated Garr (B), 3-1, Peckham (B), 3-2, and Perscott (B), 3-1. Arp (H) tied Garr (B).

Foils: Garr (B) defeated Sheldon (H), 5-1; and Franknann (H), 5-1. Ramey (H) defeated Peckham (B), 5-2, Garr (B), 5-4, and Prescott (B), 5-0. Sheldon (H) defeated Prescott (B), 5-0, and Pecknann (B), 5-4.

Sabre: Garr (B) defeated Gay (H), 5-4, and MacNeil (H), 5-4. Ellis (H) defeated Peckham (B), 5-2, Prescott (B), 5-0, and Garr (B), 5-3. Gay (H) defeated Prescott (B), 5-0, and Peckham (B), 5-4. MacNeil (H) defeated Struck (B), 5-1, and Peckham (B), 5-1.
