Merle Fainsod, professor of government, will not be giving the two half-courses originally scheduled for him next Spring, it was announced last night. Instead, he will be engaged in unspecified work at the Russian Research Center.

In the 1948-49 course catalogue, Fainsod is slated for Government 115--Dictatorship and the Government and Politics of the Soviet Union--and Government 255--a seminar on problems in Administrative Law and Procedure. No announcement has been made as to whether the courses will be cancelled, or given under another professor.
