Rising to the challenge of Boston department stores, the College AVC has come up with five Santa Clauses who will tour University playpens and nurseries today for the benefit of the children of students and faculty members.
Travelling by jeep, the five will zigzag between the Phillips Brooks House parlor the Nursery School on Kirkland st., and key points in the residential area, distributing candy and presents and listening sympathetically to requests for jet-fighters.
Times and places are:
10-12 a.m.--Brooks House Parlor
10:30-12 a.m.--Nursery School on Kirkland st.
1 p.m.--General meeting of Santas at PBH
1:15-4 p.m.--PBH parlor
3-4 p.m.--AVC Office in PBH
1:30 p.m. until all children have been met--Playground of the Harvard-way Extension, Jarvis Court Bulletin Board, and Shaler Lane
3:40-4 p.m.--Nursery School
Harassed parents may call Kirkland 7-2486 for information or to arrange visits to sick children.
