Stanford Contest Will Not Excuse Late Registration

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Undergraduates attending the Stanford football game next September will have to fly back to Cambridge or face the penalties for late registration, Dean Bender announced this week.

The game will be played at Palo Alto on September 24. Registration follows two days later, Bender pointed out, and the only way to get back by Monday afternoon is to fly, as the team will do.

"We are making no exceptions because of the game," Bender stated. "It would mean that anyone could come back two days late." Scheduling of the pre-school game was permitted, he said, on the condition that the team would come back by air in time to register.

A $5 fine and probation are the normal penalties for late registration.
