Four Annex Students Win Blazers as Athletic Awards

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Four Athletic Association members won their white blazors for outstanding skill and participation in Annex sports at an AA cider and doughnuts party in Cabot game room yesterday afternoon. Pictured above are Patricia Hughes, Marion Marshall, and Ann Clark, AA president--all '49--and Nina Emerson '50 each of whom accumulated more than the 750 points required to earn the jacket and seal, which is the highest athletic award at Radcliffe.

Ann Parsons '49 received the only Junior Award presented at the meeting yesterday. A 500 point total brought her the Athletic Association seal. Spring term tennis and softball awards were also distributed.

Sailio Hope Brown '50 took office as new secretary of the organization. Elections for the vacant Council office were hold last week and Miss Clark announced the results at the party.

All four blazer winners have hold AA Council positions. Miss Clark is this year's president; Miss Emerison, Vice-president; and Miss Marshall, treasurer. Last year Miss Hughes was secretary.

Class numerals and felt letters were also awarded yesterday to members of last spring's intramural tennis and soft-ball squads.
