Firecracker Spree Baffles Yard Police

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Midnight firecrackers have been echoing around the Houses ever since the football season began, but Yard police, alerted by complaints from House masters, are still baffled at the minor reign of terror.

Catching the noisemakers has posed a very difficult tactical problem, one gendarme explained last night. He guesses that the students probably are turning out their lights and throwing the salutes from way back in the room.

Three or four firecrackers from 11:45 until 12:30 every night have been the rule all fall say the police. So far the battlefield has centered around Adams, Lowell, and Leverett Houses.
