Butch Jordan shed his football shoes and assumed command of the wrestling room yesterday afternoon. The new coach was greeted by 40 grapplers, including five lettermen from last year's team.
Captain Dan Ray (145 pounds), ex-captain Don Louria (165), Harry King (136), Dave Coombs (121), and Bob Claflin (175) are the returning lettermen. Sandy Jones, Andre Sigourney, and Howle Houston shape up as the best prospects to fill the open slots.
Houston is expected to take over the heavyweight responsibilities vacated by Pete Fuller, spectacular, unlimited contestant for the past two seasons. The first meet is with MIT on December 11.
