Miss Henriette Sebring has assumed the position of head resident at Radcliffe's Whitman Hall. She took the post last Wednesday in place of Mrs. Nellie Haven who was forced to leave suddenly because of illness.

Despite a hectic beginning, Miss Sebring expects to look ten years younger after a term of constant contact with the 74 Whitmanltes.

A Smith College sociology major, Miss Sebring's original ambition was to do social work in Labrador. Instead she has taught school in her home town of Bellefonte, Pa., worked for the Navy Department in Washington, and been a commercial art-production manager in New York City. She got her present position through Smith's placement bureau.
