Fullback Chip Gannon leads in the overall Varsity ground-gaining department with only two games remaining on the 1948 football schedule. The Chipper has clicked off 371 yards in 74 tries, rushing 63 times for 362 yards and completing one pass for nine yards.

Trailing Gannon is tailback Jimmy Noonan, who has connected on 15 passes out of 39 for 145 yards, in addition to rushing 49 times from scrimmage for a not gain of 146 yards.

Wingback Hal Moffle has carried only 18 time, but leads the Crimson in yardage gained per try. He has picked up 135 yards for an average of 7.5 a crack.

Moffle, who may take over the first string wingback slot now that O'Donnell is out of action, also leads in punt returns. "Prince Hall" has returned five kicks for a total of 134 yards, including an 89-yard runback against Holy Cross.
