Liberals to Hear Schlesinger Talk On ERP Progress

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Associate Professor Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr. '38, who toured Europe last summer as an aide to U.S. Roving Ambassador W. Averill Harriman, will report on the European Recovery Program tonight at 8 p.m. in Emerson D. The Liberal Union and Radcliffe Students for Democratic Action will sponsor the meeting.

The session will hear a talk on "Liberal Chances in '48," by Mrs. Arthur G. Rotch, acting chairman of the Massachusetts Americans for Democratic Action.

Will Pick a President

Following the speeches, the HLU will take up the endorsement of a presidential candidate. Since HLU is affiliated with ADA, which is supporting Truman, it is expected that the Liberal Union will take a similar stand.

The meeting will also discuss three state labor referenda, Congressional candidates, and other local issues, and plan for campaign activities.

Three delegates will be elected to represent the HLU at the SDA New England regional meeting scheduled for Sunday, October 10, in Radcliffe's Agassiz Hall.
