Whether the Varsity soccer team is a better than average outfit will be determined today at Hanover. Traditionally the stumbling block on Crimson schedules, the Dartmouths always field a hard-running, aggressive eleven and have won for the past eight years.
The Crimson, which has steadily improved since the beginning of the season, will have to boat the Indians if it wants a chance to take the Ivy League.
This year Dartmouth no longer boasts its ace forward, Bobby Merriam, and has an unimpressive record. It has improved, however, since its opening game loss to Connecticut by winning the last two games.
Coach Bruce Munro plans no changes in his starting lineup for the Dartmouth game and has all his regulars available since no injuries were reported in practices this week or during the Tufts game.
The team left Cambridge yesterday afternoon by bus and spent last night in the Dartmouth gymnasium. Munro expects to hold a light practice this morning in preparation for the game at 2 p.m.
The probable starting lineup: Batchelder, g; Scully, lf; Drake, rf; Seamans, lhb; Louria, chb; Carswell, rhb; Suivak, re; Potter, rl; Estin, cf; Weiss, li; Dawson, lo.
