After a sloppy first half, the Freshman soccer team regained its practice-time composure and beat a scrappy Milton squad, 3 to 1, at Milton yesterday afternoon.
The first goal came in the middle of the third period when Ben Goldstein passed to his outside left Engstrom, who tapped it in. Ten minutes later right outside Goldstein scored himself to make the tally 2 to 0 for the Crimson.
Milton came back to make the score 2 to 1 on a penalty kick awarded when a Yardling fullback pushed a Milton forward inside the penalty area.
Inside right Drehmel kicked in the final goal from a scrimmage in front of the Milton nets.
The Harvard lineup:
Covici, g; Greenidge, rf; Doermann, lf; Leonard, Claman, rh; Harvey, ch; Harding, lh; Goldstein, ro; Drehmel, Henshaw, ri; Chakkaphak, cf; McCallum, Lawson, Osborne, li; Eliot, Engstrom, lo.
