A small fire at 5d Boylston at provided unexpected entertainment for an audience of ever 100 students early this morning.

The blaze was discovered in six-family dwelling two houses away from Kirkland House at 12:20 a.m., and a resident fireman turned in the alarm. Nine pieces of equipment from the Memorial Hall and Central sq. station soon supplied three high-pressure hoses and great quantities of water as a small blaze the back stairs was quietly immolated.

Residente of the building blamed the fire on defective electrical wiring near the back door.
