Displaying a passing game unusual for the first outing of a Freshman team, the '52 soccer squad trimmed Tabor Academy, 3 to 1, last Saturday afternoon at Marion. Center forward Prya Chakkathaka scored two of the Crimson goals.
The Yardlings scored first on a penalty kick by Chakkathaka and them on a well-placed kick by center-halfback Bill Harvery from 20 yards out. Taber picked up its only score in the last period when a kick bounced off a Crimson player into the goal.
Chakkathaka kicked in the final point from a scrimmage in front of the Taber goal.
