Director of Athletics William J. Bingham '16 has reached Chicago in his shopping tour for a new football coach, but debate interviews with Oklahoma U.'s Bud Wilkinson and assistant coach Dal Ward of Minnesota he has made no announcement of his intentions.
Meanwhile he announced that results of an informal poll among twenty-five college football teams indicate that players as well as coaches are over-whelmingly in favor of retaining the unlimited substitution rule. However, the football rules committee has as yet reached no final decision on whether the rule will stand.
Bingham arrived in Chicago from Savannah, Georgia, after the adjournment of the annual meeting of the rules committee, of which he is chairman this year.
