A Brown swimming team which is strong in the dash and breaststroke, but which promises little opposition in the other events, will take to the water in the Indoor Athletic Building tonight in an attempt to snap the Varsity's two-meet winning streak. The Freshmen of the two colleges will open the evening's proceedings at 7:30 o'clock, while the main event is set for 8:30 o'clock.

The Bruins' Gossler, specialist in the 50 free, is expected to be the big challenge to the Varsity Milt Busby and Joe Fox. Gossler took his event handily from M.I.T., and will compete in the medley tonight and possibly the 100 free as well.

Issue in Middle Events

The two other Bruin threats are in the middle distances--Joe Patrell in the backstroke and Brier in the breaststroke. Both of these have turned in better meet times in their races than have the Crimson's Tommy Woods and Chuck Hoelzer; so these events should be close. Brier's time against the Engineers was 2:31, considerably under that turned in by Hoelzer.

Tom Drohan, ace diver, should have little trouble capturing tonight's contest, as his opponents finished behind Tech with a pitifully low score. Another Crimson swimmer almost sure to win is Ted Morris, whose mastery of the quarter-mile event has been unchallenged this season.

The Bruin freshman squad took the measure of the Tech yearlings by a 40-25 count before the vacation, but is an unknown quantity as far as real competition goes.
