Concentration Testing Near Final Tabulation

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Final tabulations of the six-hour aptitude tests given last term are almost completed and will be available shortly, Dean Henry S. Dyer, '27 director of the Office of Tests, said yesterday.

Although the tests measured aptitudes in 20 fields, the 248 who took the tests will receive results in only 10 because of the immense amount of clerical work necessary, Dyer said. When the tests will again be given next spring, the Office expects to correct them by IBM machines, he added.

Grades Relative

Freshman will receive grades of high, How, or average in each field, Dyer said; but he emphasized that these grades were relative only to each individual, showing which field of concentration would offer the best opportunity.

Although last spring was the first time that tests had been given, he said that they showed a wide range of scores, a good sign for tests of that nature.
