Athletic Building Will Keep Open 10 to 1 Saturdays

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Two weeks of experimentation came to an end yesterday when Norman W. Fradd, assistant director of Physical Training, announced that the Indoor Athletic Building would remain open every Saturday during the summer from 10 to 1 o'clock.

The H.A.A.'s decision to keep the Building open was the result of two trial Saturdays during which a strict count of the men coming in showed that from 40 to 50 used the facilities on the half holiday.

Originally Three Days

Originally, in compromising with a petition from the Student Council not to close the Building, the H.A.A. planned to have three trial days. Thirty-eight appearing on June 28 and 48 more on July 12 convinced the H.A.A. officials of the Building's serviceability on Saturdays without the extra trial day.

Daily Satisfied

Patrick Daily '50, the Student Council member who presented the petition to the H.A.A., expressed satisfaction last night with the Council's ability to aid the summer student seeking recreation.
