Provost Buck and Dean Hanford will deliver off-the-record talks to assembled Adams House men tonight when the Gold Coast convenes for its annual farewell dinner at 6 o'clock.
The dinner was established four years ago to provide some measure of stability for a rapidly-fluctuating House membership. This year's affair will honor Dean Hanford, who is retiring from his administrative post at the end of the term.
Henry L. Shattuck '01, Senior Fellow of the Society of Fellows, will attend as a special guest.
In the formal dedication of his portrait two years ago, Charles Francis Adams highlighted one Adams House dinner. Last year's farewell ceremonies were devoted to Archie McConnell, retiring Gold Coast superintendent.
Joining David M. Little '18, House Master and Secretary to the University, faculty members, and guests at the main table will be Adams House committeemen, elected in recent Gold Coast ballot.
