Dean Sperry's 25th Year Honored Today

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Dean Willard L. Sperry will be honored at a student-conducted tea this afternoon in commemoration of his twenty-fifth year as dean of the Divinity School.

About 100 Divinity School students, faculty members, and their wives will be on hand to witness a ceremony of tribute. The tea will begin at 4 o'clock in the Farrar Room of Andover Hall.

Dean Sperry, whose sixty-fifth birthday last Saturday leaves him one year short of the retirement age, became dean in 1922. He is also Plummer Professor of Christian Morals, professor of Homiletics the art of preaching, and chairman of the Beard of Preachers.
