It never rains but it pours, Harvard's Varsity lacroose team learned Saturday afternoon when, after a three game drought in which it scored only five points, it let loose an eighteen point cloudburst in defeating Tufts 18 to 3 at Medford. At the same time the Freshmen lost a 10 to 3 decision to a well-conditioned Andover team on the schoolboy's home grounds.

Captain Jay Hurley, with three goals and six assists, led the Varsity scoring deluge, which saw even defenseman Eddie Davis cross the center line to chalk up an assist. Bob Bozanson donated seven goals to the cause for the second highest total.

The Crimson prophetically scored first, when Hans Estin dented the nets six seconds before the game was two minutes old. Tufts tied it up a minute later, but Elephant hopes died aborning, when Harvard scored two quick goals in eleven seconds. Then the rain of goals came and by half-time the Crimson had a 12 to 1 lead.

The Varsity lineup: Allen, g; Graham, pt; Forsythe, cp; Davis, ld; Louria, 2d; Estin, c; Abbot 2a; Hurley 1a; Rogers, oh; Gregg, i.h.

The Freshmen lineup: Chamberlain, g; Claflin, pt; Lawrence, cp; MacDonald, ld; Schwulst, 1d; Birdsall, 2d; Kegg, 2a; Davidson, 1a; Cassady oh; Aibel, ih.
