1645 Undergraduates Plan Summer Study

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

An estimated 1645 undergraduates will spend this summer basking in the warmth of a Harvard education, Francis Keppel '38, assistant to the Provest, said yesterday as he tabulated December study cards and new February registrations of students who had declared this intention.

In addition to this number, there will probably he upwards of 400 students in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and a contribution "in the low hundreds" from Radcliffe. A final handful of men will undoubtedly return from leave of absence in June to continue their studies, Keppel added.

At the same time that he released these figures, Keppel also noted that the final College registration total for this term had reached 5324 men.
