Crimson Captures Third Place In Ski Meet, Nosing Out M.I.T.

Crimson skiers acting as hosts to a seven-college slalom meet at Middlebury, Vermont, finished third behind Middlebury College and Dartmouth in a close contest Saturday.

A tight bunching of Gerry Genn, Larry Griffin, Rod Nordblom, and Captain George Shedd in the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th slots clinched third position for the Crimson over a strong M.I.T. entry.

Middlebury provided the day's surprise in edging a favored Dartmouth squad by turning in a time total of 782.1 seconds. The Big Green's hopes were shattered when their ace entry, Chris Bugge, missed one flag in his breaknock run down the slope.
