Sextet Faces Elis Tonight at Arena; Barclaymen Meet Undefeated Lions

Riding the crest of a ten-game winning skein as a result of their hairbreadth 6-5 upset over Dartmouth last Saturday, the Yale hockey forces will face off against Harvard this weekend in search of their fourth Pentagonal League victory in a row. Since the beginning of their winning streak of January 15 by virtue of a 7-1 triumph over Clarkson Tech, Coach Murray Murdoch's skaters have piled up an average of 7.7 goals per game as opposed to 2.3 for their opponents.

Captain Terry Van Ingen, who handles the net-minding duties, is now completing his third season as the Blue first-string goalie. From the defensive angle, he will be bulwarked by the starting combination of Walt Allen and Jack Calhoun, who are both former letter winners along will all but three of the fourteen regular game performers.

Moher is Ell High Scorer

The burden of Yale's offensive chores is carried by a trio of fast-skating 150-pounders-Artie Moher, Gordy Ritz, and Fred Pearson, Moher, pivot man on the first line, is currently the team's top point-collector and leading playmaker with an 18-game total of 15 goals and 22 assists. His wing-mate Ritz has been pushing him all season and presently boasts a point total of 32. These two will be joined on the first line by Barry Wood who was elevated to that spot at the beginning of the streak and has a 14 point aggregate to date.

Canadian-born Fred Pearson, left wing on the second line, is the team's top goal producer with 18. It was the third line combination of Perry Sturgis, Dick Manville, and Bill Howe that provided the fifth and sixth official goals against the Indians.
