'50 Quintet Tops Tabor 61-33, Gets Sixth Court Win

Rockwell Scores 26; Yardling Height, Experience Decisive

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Breaking into the lead in the first minutes of play, Coach Warren "Moe" Berg's Yardling hoopsters crushed a game but out-classed Tabor Academy five 61 to 33 last night in an Indoor Athletic Building preliminary contest.

High-scoring Captain John Rockwell of of the Freshmen made the chief contribution to his teammates' sixth win by coming through with 26 points, 19 of them in the second half. Eight points apiece by Frank Lionette and Chuck Brynteson plus tallies by eight other Yardlings proved too much for the short and inexperienced prep school squad.

Although the Tabor Academy coach termed the Crimson the "best club we've played," Berg blamed the fact that his "team hadn't played for three weeks" for the many free throws and field goals which went wild in the opening half.

Prentiss Sparks Tabor

High-scorer for the Tabor squed was Bill Prentiss, who accounted for 15 points.

The starting lineup for Harvard: rf, Crosby; lf, Lionette; c, Rockwell; rg, Altrocchi; lg, Covey.
