Debating "free and unrestricted immigration of refugees into Palestine," the newly organized Union Debating Society will initiate its activities this evening at 7:30 o'clock in the North Common Room of the Union, William C. Murphy 1L, graduate adviser to the group, announced last night.
Murphy declared that provision for full audience discussion following the debate brought reports that several student organizations interested in the Palestine question to attend in force. He added that a "hot verbal clash between opposing factions" seemed likely.
The Freshman team arguing for the affirmative will include S. William Green and Sterling McKittrick, Jr. In opposition will be Richard R. Robinson and David B. Evans.
In addition to the regular rebuttal period, the debate will include cross-examination of each speaker by the opposing team.
