Crimson Five Whips Trinity 63-50, in Foul-Fraught Fray

By Irvin M. Horowitz

Action grew almost belligerant last night at the Indoor Athletic Building, as the Varsity basketball team subdued a rugged Trinity quintet, 63 to 50, for its thirteenth victory in 18 starts.

Hauptfuhrer Scores 22 Points

Hauptfuhrer raised his seasonal total to 298 points with a 22-point outburst, and Saul Mariaschin's efforts netted him 18. Bill Brady and Steve Davis, with seven markers apiece, turned in polished performances for the Varsity.

The visitors, who specialized in fast breaks, set shots, and questionable manners, were led by Red Faber, who totalled 18 points, almost all from 30 feet outside the hoop. Harold Hayes and diminutive Dick Kirby also helped to keep the Crimson pressing.

It was the Crimson's last non-league appearance of the season. Cornell, a 53 to 30 victor over Princeton last night, comes to the Indoor Athletic Building Saturday night.
