Plagued by a recent epidemic of sprained ankles that has robbed the Freshmen and Jayvee basketball squads of three starters, Coach Hal Kopp of the Jayvees and Yardling mentor "Moe" Berg will send their respective quintets against Exeter and Huntington in two road games this afternoon.
Minus the services of high scoring captain John Rockwell, the Freshmen will tap off at the Huntington gym at 2:30 o'clock with a record of nine wins and two losses behind them.
Coach "Moe" Berg is wary of today's encounter although his men beat Huntington in an early season game. "Repeat wins aren't easy to produce," he mused.
The Jayvees, meanwhile, will be trying to avenge the Yardling's loss on Exeter's home court, but Coach Kopp is apprehensive of the outcome. "Since they beat the Freshmen, who have been out-playing us in scrimmages all year, I'd say we have a tough game ahead of us," Kopp stated.
