PBH Slates Talks On Social Service In Boston Region

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

In the first of a series of talks sponsored by the PBH Social Service Committee to acquaint students with the opportunities for philanthropic work in Boston, Carle C. Zimmerman, associate professor of Sociology, Robert F. Bales, instructor in Sociology, and John M. Kingman '14, headworker at Lincoln and Hale Houses, will discuss "The Need for Social Service Work Today" in the Adams Upper Common Room tomorrow at 7:30 o'clock.

Zimmerman will express the view of an outsider to the field of social service, while Bales will speak as an expert on the general subject, and Kingman will describe the operations of his particular settlement house, according to Richard W. Kislik, chairman of the committee.

A motion picture filmed at the Jeffries Point Boys Club will follow the speeches.

To accompany the lecture series, Kislik said, his committee is contemplating a broadcast over WHCN.
