Paced by Frank Bixler, the Jayvee quintet riddled the Tufts Junior Varsity with 28 points in the second half yesterday afternoon to win its seventh game of the season, 47 to 43, in a game played at the Indoor Athletic Building.
Despite the final score, the game was not close until after five minutes of the third quarter. Then, coming from a 30 to 35 deficit, the Jayvees poured 17 points through the hoop to win going away.
Although the scoring was evenly distributed on both sides, Rosen of Tufts tallied 13 points, to tie the Koppman's Bixler for top honors in the scoring department. Epstein of Tufts, with 9, and Foster of the Jayvees, with 8 were runners-up.
