Graduate Council Aid Asked to Help Revive Education in Europe

Gerald Holton 2G, president of the Graduate Council, yesterday called for "able-bodied graduate students" to operate a four-point program of polls, investigations, and efforts and reconstruction of decimated European universities.

He said that the three-month old counterpart to the undergraduate Student Council was now working through four committees on questions of Ph.D. requirements, language examinations for doctoral aspirants, and a poll to determine the average financial status of the graduate student.

Holton coupled his appeal for volunteer workers with an announcement that GSAS-wide elections to their own Council would be held later in the spring term.
