Electioneering antics in the Yard will climax today as the boisterous campaign ends in the election of the Freshman Smoker Committee. John H. Carnahan '50, chairman of the Council Freshman Affairs Committee, asserted last night that "the campaign has run far beyond the limits we endorsed."
Raymond Crew '51 organized a chamber orchestra to serenade the Freshmen from the Union balcony at luncheon Saturday. The group was driven into disorganized retreat, however, amidst a shower of rolls and hotdogs accurately directed by these eating on the floor below. Refusing to be daunted, Grew obtained endorsement of his nomination from starlett Gloria Grahame of the movie, "Crossfire."
Campaigning at supper yesterday was highlighted by two candidates who dashed down the long table in the Union, upsetting the food of the patrons.
Election of committeemen will take place tomorrow at lunch and dinner in the Union and at lunch in Dudley Hall. A check-off balloting system will be used to select eight man from the 30 names which appear below.
