Apparently unaware of its ragged line, aerial-conscious Leverett whipped a ground-stubborn Dunster football squad 25 to 0 yesterday, while Winthrop was being taken for a 35 to 0 ride by the Commuters.
Leverett's Colin Bentley plunged over the goal line in the first period to begin the one-sided scoring. Then Tom Connolly recovered a fumble and streaked across the Dunster goal only to have the ball called back. A moment later, however, Leverett scored on Bob Zimmerman's pass to Pete Duble.
Two more touchdown sunk the Funsters in the second half as Zimmerman again connected to Duble, and Andy Cooper tossed a pass to basil Cooper in the end zone.
The Dudley-Winthrop game assumed rout proportions as Dave "Bongo" Bishop and "Donut" Duncan each contributed two touchdowns. Another by Osepchuck, a safety, and three conversions completed the scoring.
