The Kirkland band and Bucky Harrison sounded off last night as 150 Deacons swarmed into the House courtyard for a pre-Eliot game football rally.
Besides Harrison, jovial team manager who also serves as quarterback on the Jayvees, the rooters heard House master Mason Hammond '25, and responded in song with "Kirklandia" and "10,000 Men of Kirkland."
An Eliot spokesman queried about the spirited display next door, revealed that the Mastodons would "let the Red team speak for itself." both elevens are undefeated and will meet this afternoon on Soldiers Field for possible House league supremacy.
Kirkland has four victories; Eliot, four wins and a tie.
